Emanuel Rosen

Emanuel is originally from Israel where he worked in the advertising business. As a copywriter, he had an opportunity to work on a wide range of product categories, from automotive (Peugeot) to detergents (Sano) and consumer Electronics (Kodak).

During most of the 1990s, he was VP Marketing at Niles Software in Berkeley, California. There he was responsible for launching and marketing the company's flagship product, EndNote — a tool for managing bibliographic references. It's a product that spread to a large extent by word-of-mouth which made Emanuel interested in the phenomenon and how it can be accelerated. Today, you would be hard pressed to find a university where people don't use EndNote.

Since 1998, when he sold his share in the company, he has dedicated my time to studying and writing about word-of-mouth.
